Plastic Co Extrusions
Our experience means that we have the ability to meet more challenging technical specifications to produce more complex parts such as plastic co extrusions for example co extruded PVC.
Co-extruded plastic is an ideal solution when a single polymer cannot fulfil the complete product specification requirements, for example, when different properties such as strength, stiffness, wear resistance and oxygen permeability are required within the same component part in different areas.
To achieve this we use two different plastic materials, with differing properties, in the extruding process to produce co-extruded plastic parts. The individual layers of each material are maintained at the right thicknesses in the right places to deliver the desired technical result for the final manufactured part. Plastic co extrusions have resolved many design issues and opened up the doors for engineers to produce more creative solutions to technical challenges.
