uPVC Extrusions

uPVC (unplasticised PVC) is rigid PVC without softening plasticisers. uPVC extrusions are stiff, dimensionally stable, weather resistant and low maintenance, which is why the material is used so widely in window systems, cladding trims, drainage components and other building products.

What is the difference between PVC and uPVC extrusions?
uPVC contains no plasticiser, so it is rigid; flexible PVC contains plasticisers that make it soft. Rigid building profiles are uPVC; seals and gaskets are flexible PVC.

Is uPVC suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. uPVC is weather resistant and widely used externally, which is why window systems, fascias and trims are typically made from it.
